Iška is a river of three faces. On its adventurous way, it flows through the wild Iški Vintgar Gorge, over the fertile Iški Vršaj and the wetland of Ljubljana Marsh. The trail takes you through Iški Vintgar Gorge up to Lipe where Iška flows into Ljubljanica. The trail mascot is Okljukec that can be found on all 11 info boards.

The sediment at the basis of Sečovlje Saltworks were mostly brought by the river Dragonja. By depositing debris, the bottom at the mouth of the Dragonja River rose thus creating conditions to regulate the salt fields. According to the existing documents, alto (high), where the nature trail takes you, is also the oldest part of Saltworks. The whole trail is presented in detail on the mobile app Nexto.

The trail leads you around the fresh water reservation with 6 bird watching hides and multi-storey central bird hide. We are guides along the "Fuks grabi" by a fox, revealing the forest of Goričko over 9 stations: the structure of black alder, the forest edge, the spruce monoculture, foxes’ den, forest restoration and hunters’ lookout, the growth of a tree, the soil structure and a well. The trail ascends 60 meters high and 2.4 kilometres in distance; it leads you back to the starting point.
