Podsreda Castle / Kozjansko Regional Park

The basement of Podsreda Castle was dedicated to presenting the nature of Kozjansko Park. The presentation begins with geological history, endowing Kozjansko region with Karst features like sinkholes, dry valleys, springs, sinkholes and Karst caves and chasms. The steep slopes of Kozjansko Park are overgrown with forests, and in the embrace of the forest one can spot hidden beautiful images of nature. The rich biodiversity is complemented by dry meadows. High trunk meadow orchards are an important habitat for many birds.
